ENGINE IS DIFFICULT TO START
1. Check for Fuel in Carburetor
i. If No Fuel
a. Out of gas – Fill fuel tank
b. Fuel cap air hole blocked – Unblock air hole
c. Fuel filter or petcock blocked – Clean or replace
ii. With Fuel – Check Spark Plug
2. Check Compression
i. No Compression – Have TN’G dealer inspect the scooter
ii. With Compression – Check Spark Plug
3. Spark Plug
i. No Spark
a. Spark plug wet or fouled – Remove plug & prime
kick the start pedal without fuel & ignition. Re-
install spark plug
b. Intermittent spark plug lead – Replace lead
c. Spark plug dirty or wrong gap – Replace plug or
correct gap
d. Loose spark plug – Tighten spark plug
