IMPORTANT! 

Read the whole instructions and do the following in the set order:

•  Faults and damage caused by not following these instructions will 

NOT 

be 

covered by the TKS warranty.

•  If transport damage is discovered on wires before installation, 

please contact TKS.

Preparation:

• Place the rake at the 

fi

 lling end.

• Damaged wire must be removed.
• Retain the wire clips to 

fi

 t new wires.

Control:

•  Wire discs; drives/reverses, must be checked for damage before 

installation.

•  Use the attached feeler gauge to see whether there is wear on the discs. 

•  Max 4 mm 

gap from the tip of the feeler gauge to the bottom of the disc.

•  Discs must be replaced if they are seriously damaged.

Handling:

•  Be careful when handling wires.

•  Wires must not be drawn out from the end of the reel. 

Tightened snags damage the wire permanently. 

•  The reel is placed on a storage stand on which it can rotate.
•  The wire must be unwound from the reel horizontally.

• Very 

important!

 Unwind the wire from the bottom reel to the bottom disc. 

(Alternatively, from the top reel to the top disc).

•  Keep the wire taut when unwinding.
•  Avoid gravel and sand on the steel rope. This will a

 ect the service life of 

the wire.

• NB!

 Joining new and damaged wires for pulling is 

NOT permitted.

Installation:

•  Place the reel at the 

fi

 lling end and unwind the wire from the 

bottom of the reel.

•  Insert wire end 

(a)

 into the guide blocks.

•  Wind the wire around the turn disc.
•  Pull the wire towards the drive disc.
•  Pull the wire completely o

  the reel.

•  Wind the wire end

 around the drive disc.

•  Form a loop at end

120 mm free end outside the wire clip.

•  Tighten the rope and place the loop on end

approx. 0.6 m away from 

the 

fi

 rst loop.

•  Fit the wire clip and tighten.
•  Tighten the wire using the tightening tool and screw the clip tightly to the 

tightening rod.
