OPERATIONS INSTRUCTIONS

Before using the tool, read the instruction
book carefully.
INTENDED USE
This rotary hammer shall be used for drilling metal or wood
or similar materials and for hammer drilling of concrete and
masonry and similar materials.
Other uses for the tool will lead to the damage of the tool
and a series of dangers to the operator. This tool is
intended for DIY home use or occasional professional use.
1. INSTALLING THE AUXILIARY HANDLE
(Fig. 1)
Loosen the handgrip anti-clockwise then slide the handle
on the head of the hammer. Rotate the handgrip clockwise
to clamp the handle and tighten fully (Fig. 2).
Warning:
For reasons of safety, only use the
tool when it is fitted with the auxiliary handle.
Hold the tool firmly to control the twisting of the tool.
2. INSTALLING THE DEPTH GAUGE
(Fig. 2)
Push the depth gauge lock on the top of the handle.
Insert the depth gauge through hole in handle to required
depth. The depth gauge can be used to set a constant
depth. Release the button to clamp the depth gauge.
3. INSERTING SDS TOOLS OR CHUCK
(Fig. 3 & Fig. 4)
The hammer is equipped with an SDS-plus attachment
system. The chuck/SDS tools have slots in the shank.
These locate with tabs in the rotary hammer. Hold the
rotary hammer with one hand facing away from you. Grip
and pull back the fastening sleeve and insert the
chuck/SDS tool. Push inwards until a resistance is felt.
Once you are satisfied it has seated release the black
fastening sleeve. This should lock the chuck into position.
To remove the SDS tools/chuck,
pull back fastening sleeve,
hold and remove tool.
4. USING THE KEY CHUCK
(Fig. 5)
The hammer comes supplied with a drill chuck with a SDS
adaptor. This drill chuck is used for drilling on wood or
steel. Do not use this drill chuck for hammer drilling action
or hammer action.
Fit the drill chuck to the SDS chuck holder as section 3.
Turning the chuck key at the three positions will loose or
tighten the chuck.
Turning the key anti-clockwise to loosen the chuck. Insert
the drill bit into the chuck holder then turning the key
clockwise firmly to tighten the drill bit.
Warning:
DO NOT use the key chuck for hammer
drilling action or hammer! Remove the key from the
chuck before starting the tool!
