Setting Up

1.  Depending on your location and whether or not Daylight Saving Time (

DST

) is in effect, set the 

 

DST Switch

 located 

on the back of the unit to +1 or -1 to activate the DST adjustment feature. Activating the +1 switch will advance the 
time one hour; setting to -1 will subtract one hour.

2.  The unit is pre-set at the factory for Eastern Standard Time. Press and hold the 

 

Time Zone Button

 located on the 

back of the unit for approx. 2 seconds until the Time Zone Indicator at the lower part of the display flashes the current 
time zone. Press the

or

 

 

>> Button

 to select the time zone for your location. 

3. Press 

Time Zone Button

 again (or if no button is pressed within approx. 10 seconds) to exit the setting mode.

Setting Time and Calendar

1.  Press and hold the 

 

Time Set Button

 located on the right side of the unit for 2 seconds until the display flashes. Press 

the

or

 >> Button

 until the current time is displayed. Holding the button for a few seconds will advance or reverse       

rapidly. Remember to set the correct 

AM 

or

 PM

. An icon in the upper left hand corner of the time digits is the 

PM 

Indicator

AM indicator

2.  Press the button again to accept the current setting and set the current year. Press the

 until the current 

year is displayed. Press the 

Time Set Button

 to confirm year setting after adjustment. The display will change to show 

flashing date.

3. Press the

 until the current date is displayed. Holding the button for a few seconds will advance or reverse rapidly. 

4. Press the 

Time Set Button

 again (or if no button is pressed within approx. 10 seconds) to exit the setting mode. 

Using the Alarms

Setting the Alarms

1.  Press and hold the 

 

Alarm-1 

or 

Alarm-2 Button

 for 2 seconds until the alarm time flashes in the lower part of the 

display. Press the

 >> Button

 to set the alarm time. Holding the button for a few seconds will advance or reverse 

rapidly. Remember to set the correct 

AM

 PM 

time. 

2. Press the 

Alarm 1

 (or Alarm 2) 

Button 

to accept the alarm time. Next, select your wake-to source.

To wake to radio:

 press the 

 

Mode Button

 to select AM, FM1 or FM2. Press the desired radio station preset button. (See 

Listening to Radio on page 7 for details on setting radio presets.) Follow steps 3 and 4 below to complete alarm setting.

To wake to nature sounds

: press the 

 

Mode Button

 to select nature sounds mode. Use the

>> Button

 to 

select one of the four nature sounds. You can set each alarm to a different sound source. 

3. Press the 

  

7-5-2 Button

 to select which days the alarm wlll sound: everyday, mon-fri or sat-sun.

4. Press the 

 

Alarm Button

 again or wait for 10 seconds. Alarm is now armed, indicated by the numbered alarm clock icon.

Arming and Disarming Alarm (Turn Alarm Function On and Off)

1. Press the 

Alarm 1

 (or Alarm 2) 

Button

 once. The unit will show the current alarm time on the bottom part of the display .

Press again to disarm the alarm. The alarm is set to go on when an alarm icon is displayed.

Resetting the Alarm to Come on the Next Day

1.  When the alarm is sounding, press the 

 

Alarm Reset/Power On/Off Button

 to silence the alarm and reset it to come 

on the following day at the same time.

Snooze Operation

1.  Press and hold the 

 

Snooze button

 during normal operation to set the Snooze period. Press the

Button

 to set the snooze period from 1 to 30 minutes (press and hold to advance/reverse rapidly). 

2. Press the 

Snooze Button

 once the alarm sounds. The alarm will turn off then come back on after the selected snooze 

period. You may repeat this several times during the one-hour alarm cycle.

Sure Alarm

The T312 has a sure alarm feature so the buzzer alarm will still sound in the event of power failure, if backup batteries are installed.
