Application in moist environments
The DSP TT1 is approved for indoor and outdoor applications. In case of precipitation, the device has to be
wiped dry before usage. Workings in case of dense fog and impaired visibility are not approved.
4.2 Slide together the telescope
After voltage testing and unhooking from the catenary line, slide the telescope
together, beginning with the thickest tube, and secure it with the elastic strap.
First unhook electrode from the catenary line,
after that disconnect rail/earth.
5. Energy source
5.1 Check battery condition
The latest battery status is symbolised by a three-stage battery indicator on the display.

Attention!
When the empty battery symbol flashes, then no more measurements can be performed and the battery has
to be replaced immediately.
The device requires a 9 V block battery IEC 6LR61 / 6LF22 / 6LP3146 (alkali-manganese).
5.2 Battery change
Remove the display part from the tube (picture). Unscrew the two white screws.
Remove the holding bracket and put the device out of its holder.
Unscrew the cover of the battery compartment on the back of the device.
Let the battery slide out of the CAT IV protection cover. Release battery connecting contacts.
After connecting the new battery, use the CAT IV protection cover to insert the battery into the battery
compartment. Tighten the cover. Erect the display part on the tube. Put the device back into the holder, close
the mounting bracket and fasten the screws.
Attention!
Voltage testers shall not be used with open battery box.
Only use the erected MultiSafe DSP TT1 on the telescope tube in connection with the test prod.
Note:
Included in the scope of delivery is one battery. These battery is not to be re-charged. Attempting to recharge
it may cause risk to personal safety and damage to the equipment. The battery may not to be opened.
Depleted batteries must not be disposed with the domestic waste. Please, return batteries at a local retailer or
municipal recycling depot. Return is free of charge and required by law.
