Use of the barcode reader
Use barcode reader
1. Make sure there is an application open on the device and that a
text field is focused (with the text cursor in the text field).
2. Point to a barcode with the top of the device.
3. Press and hold the shutter button (located on the top of the device
with the letter “F”).
4. The data capture LED is lit and a beep sounds by default to
indicate that the barcode has been decoded correctly. Focus the
capture LED on the barcode until the beep sounds.
5. Release the trace button. Barcode content data is displayed in the
text field.
Attention:
• To
activate the reader
it is necessary to start the
“application”
HardDeCode
if the device has been
rebooted, shut down or restored.
• Your device may not have a barcode reader,
depending on the configuration acquired.

Note that the default configuration of the reader is via
USB HID.
