Inserting and Removing the Battery:
To insert the battery into the massager or into the
charging nest, simply push it into place securely until the tab clicks into place. To remove the
battery from the massager or from the charging nest, push on the tab with your thumb to free
the clip, and then pull the battery out. It is recommended the battery be removed from the
massager during transport, to prevent the device from turning on inadvertently should the ON
button be activated by shifting loads.
Charging the Battery:
Connect the switching power supply to the charging nest and plug
it into the wall outlet. The indicator light on power supply will turn GREEN to show system
ready. Insert the battery into the nest, and the indicator light will turn RED to show the battery
is charging. The indicator light will FLASH GREEN when charging is complete. The charging
nest is designed with two knock out holes on the base, so it can be mounted on a horizontal
or a vertical surface. The battery clips into the charger to prevent the battery from falling out
of the nest if mounted to a wall. It is recommended new batteries be charged fully before they
are used for the first time, as they are stored and shipped from our facility partially charged, to
meet transport safety regulations.
Operating your Massager:
To turn your massager ON or OFF press the button marked with
the Circle and vertical line. The massager is programmed to start at speed level 3, which is
the speed used by most individuals. Use the UP and DOWN arrows to adjust speed if desired.
Speeds range from approximately 18 pulses per second at speed 1 to 35 pulses per second at
the speed 5.
No attachments are needed with Thumper® Lithium2. Its massage spheres are positioned to
let you reach all areas effectively. The spacing of the two spheres allows you to massage your
back effectively without touching your spine. You can massage specific trigger point areas by
tilting the head of the Thumper® Lithium2 using only one sphere.
Load:
Thumper® is designed to operate best with its own weight. If too much weight is applied
to the massager it will result in weak Thumping action. This is because Thumper® needs to
pulse its massage spheres against the muscle somewhat like the beating of a drum. When too
much force or extra weight is applied, its action is smothered or restricted and it penetrates
less, not more. All Thumper® products are designed with an overload safety system to prevent
damage to the device or to the user. On some products the power is simply diminished until
the load comes back to normal levels, on other products the device shuts down and needs to
be reset.
The Thumper® Lithium2 has safety circuits built into both the device and the battery. If the
safety circuit on the massager trips, the product can be restarted by taking any pressure of
the device and pushing the ON button. If the safety circuit on the battery trips, the battery
has to be inserted into the charging nest and recharged.
Temperature:
Internal temperature of the device is a function of a number of variables:
ambient temperature, running time, and load. Excessive heat generated due to heavy loads
on the system will quickly cause the motor core temperature to rise. Persistent operation at
an elevated temperature will prematurely wear the working components and may lead to
motor damage. All Thumper® products have ventilation gaps to allow air circulation inside the
device. Some models are equipped with cooling fans. All Thumper® products are designed
with an over-temperature safety system to prevent damage to the device or to the user. If the
temperature rises to excessive levels, the device will shut down and will have to be allowed to
cool, then reset.
