20. Get Fan State
SYSTem:FAN[:STATe]?
Returns actual fan state:
0 - fan off
1 - fan on
21. Set LED State
SYSTem:LED[:STATe] {OFF | 0 | ON | 1}
with values OFF | 0 - led off
ON | 1 - led on
Remark: LED is set on by default. Starting a measurement switches LED off (to avoid influence
of the measurement) and stopping a measurement switches LED on.
22. Get LED State

23. Set DFU State
A command to prepare device for firmware update
STATus:DFU <value>
with values 0 - DFU off
1 - DFU on
2 - DFU once (disappears after device power cycle)
Remark : Setting DFU state to 1 or 2 results in enumeration of the USB device - the connection
will be lost. Do not power off the device until firmware update is complete. Use Thorlabs DFU
Wizard downloadable from the Thorlabs webside for updating the firmware of the SPCM.
Hint : Use “DFU once” for a normal firmware update to avoid that a second USB driver (for
DFU) is needed to be installed if the Single Photon Counter is connected to another USB port.
Especially moving the SPC to another PC may be problematic because the needed DFU driver
may not exist on this PC (it comes with Thorlabs DFU Wizard).
