Patient Assessment
HeartMate II patient assessment may include, but not be limited to, assessment of
the following:

Pump function
·
Pump speed, flow, motor power, pulse index (PI), mode of operation
·
Percutaneous lead connection to System Controller and perc lock is in the
locked position
·
Exit site status, immobilization of percutaneous lead
·
Vital signs, peripheral circulation
·
Mental status, level of consciousness
·
12 lead EKG
·
ECHO
