Information and precautions
This device is intended for domestic use and must not be used in an
industrial environment. It is intended for use in Spain. In some
European Community countries, its use may be restricted or forbidden.
It must be installed and used in accordance with the instructions
supplied in this leaflet. The reading of these instructions will make the
installation of the device much easier. Follow the instructions carefully
and carry them out in the correct order. Then place this leaflet in a safe
place where you can consult it later.
• The supply voltage of your WPJ 540 E is 220/240 V - 50 Hz. Using
the unit with higher voltages may damage the unit or cause a fire. It
is recommended that you unplug your WPJ 540 E from the mains
during storms. If it gives off an odour or smoke, immediately
disconnect it from the mains supply. For this purpose place the units
where they are accessible so as to be able to unplug them rapidly.
Never try to open or repair the unit yourself, there is a risk of
electrocution. If you are going away for a prolonged period of time,
disconnect all unneeded appliances including the WPJ 540 E unit
from the mains supply.
• Ventilation, Heat, Dampness - Install your WPJ 540 E well away
from heat and dust sources. Do not install it in close proximity to
heating units or in direct sunlight. Its maximum operating
temperature is 35° C.
Your WPJ 540 E is designed to be used in dry surroundings. If,
exceptionally, you use it outside (balcony, veranda…), take care to
protect it from any sources of dampness (dew, rain, splashes). The
maximum permitted humidity is 85%. Before using a cold WPJ 540
E unit in a hot room, allow any condensation to evaporate.
• Cleaning - Clean the case of your WPJ 540 E with a soft cloth and
a neutral detergent. The use of solvents or alcohol may damage
your WPJ 540 E units. In case of doubt carry out a test on the
underside of the case.
