GPI Out Triggers Menu
The GPI Out Triggers menu is used to specify the sending of GPI type com-
mands to external devices. The Kalypso system supports a total of 16 GPI
outputs (1-16). The menu is reached by touching
PBus & GPI
,
GPI Out
(
).
Figure 174. GPI Out Trigger Menu
In Eng Setups, each GPI trigger can be given a descriptive name that
appears on the buttons in this menu. The actual action performed when a
GPI trigger is fired is determined by how it is wired to the external device.
GPI triggers by default are associated with E-MEM level group
Misc 5
.
Select the desired trigger(s) in the menu by touching their buttons, then
Learn an E-MEM register or insert or modify a keyframe with
Misc 5
enabled. The selected GPI triggers will fire when that E-MEM register is
recalled or when that keyframe is encountered during the effect run.
You can associate GPI triggers with any E-MEM level group, not just Misc 5
(see
). The currently assigned level is dis-
played on this GPI Out Triggers menu.
If GPI Out is not enabled (as determined by the PBus & GPI Enables menu)
a
DISABLED
status is reported for that GPI. No triggers are sent to disabled
GPIs.
The
Test
touch buttons on this menu manually fires that GPI.
