Macro Menus
Note
Macro attachments are saved and loaded with User Prefs. One set of attach-
ments exists for each control surface. Be sure the User Prefs you load are
compatible with the Macro registers you are currently using, to avoid acci-
dentally running incorrect attached Macros.
Figure 152. Macro Attach Menu
Any buttons on the Main panel (except delegation buttons and buttons dis-
abled due to a lack of resources) can have macros attached. Macros cannot
be attached to Remote Aux panel buttons, or to the hardware buttons on
the original Menu panel. Macros are attached to physical buttons, not to the
delegated function of that button. For example, if you attach a macro to the
Chroma Key
button, the macro will run whenever that button is pressed,
regardless of what keyer that subpanel has been delegated to control. The
only exception to this an M/E Key bus, in which the delegation between
macro operation or keyer operation is honored, because macros cannot be
attached to macro buttons. Note, that when keyer operation is active, dele-
gation between key 1 and 3 and key 2 and 4 are not honored. The same
macro will run when a physical keyer button is pressed regardless of the
current keyer delegation.
Macro Attachments Pane
The Macro Attachments scrolling pane displays all possible buttons on the
selected section, either
M/E 1
,
M/E 2
,
M/E 3
, or
Misc
. If any of the buttons have
macros attached, the information on the macro will display in the appro-
priate column, either Pre, Replace, or Post.
