1. Description
The radio actuator controls roller shutters and blinds with
limit switches (230V/50 Hz motors) with the output UP
K
and
the output DOWN
L
.
The radio actuator is controlled by radio signals from radio
sensors. Each radio sensor can simultaneously control an
unlimited number of radio actuators.
The radio sensors have a fixed address and must be assigned
on a radio actuator (max. 32 radio sensors). The memory of
each radio actuator is empty when delivered.
Function 1
(standard function) is preset by default in the
radio actuator of a freshly assigned radio sensor.
The radio actuator’s function can be changed by programming
to respond to any assigned radio sensor (see Point 6).
2. Mounting
Mounting and set-up may only be carried out by an authorised
professional. All works may only be performed once the
mains power supply 230V/50Hz~ has been switched off.
Mounting must adhere to the valid laws, standards and
regulations. The supply line may only be fused with a fuse
or circuit breaker (max. 10A).
For programming, the radio actuator must be connected to
the mains power supply. The programming is retained even
in a power failure.
NEVER mount the radio sensor or radio actuator in a metal
housing or directly next to large metal objects.
It is also not advisable to mount the radio actuators on the
floor or close to the floor.
The following points must be observed:
- the valid laws, standards and regulations
- the best available technology at the time of installation.
- the operating instructions of the Thermokon radio products.
- the fact that operating instructions can only contain general
guidelines and that these must be considered in the context
of a specific system.
Caution!!
The Thermokon radio products must
not
be used
with devices, which could affect human health or safety, or
endanger humans, animals or material assets.

4. Assigning or deleting radio sensors
Radio sensors can be assigned or deleted in the
learn
mode
of the radio actuator. Learn mode is activated by
pressing the
LRN/SET button
(LED flashes red).
If a button of the radio sensor that
is to be assigned
is
pressed
once
in learn mode and recognized by the radio
actuator (
LED on
), the radio sensor
has been assigned
.
If a button of an
already assigned
radio sensor is pressed
once
and recognized by the radio actuator (
LED off
), the
radio sensor
has been deleted
.
Caution!!
If the button off a radio sensor is pressed repeatedly
the radio sensor will be alternately assigned or deleted!
After a radio sensor has been assigned or deleted the radio
actuator returns to learn mode (LED flashes red) and other
radio sensors can be assigned or deleted. When no button
of a radio sensor is pressed, the radio actuator leaves the
learn mode after approx. 30s independently.

Function 1
(standard function) is preset by default in the
radio actuator of a freshly assigned radio sensor.
If desired, the radio actuator’s function and its parameter
can be changed by function programming (see Point 6) for
each
assigned radio sensor
.

5. Deleting all assigned radio sensors
Press the
CLR/MODE

and hold it down for approx.
2s. During this time, the memory is completely deleted
(delivery status).
Then, the radio actuator is in learn mode (LED flashes red).

6. Function programming
The radio actuator’s
function
and its
parameter
can be
changed by function programming each
assigned radio
sensor
(see Point 4).
Function programming is activated by pressing an holding the
LRN/SET
button until confirmed (LEDs flash green rapidly).
Function programming can be manually terminated by
activating the
CLR/MODE
button. Without activating the
button on a radio sensor, the radio actuator will terminate
function programming automatically after about 30s.
If function programming is active, a button of the radio
sensor must be pressed for recognition, for which the function
of the radio actuator is to be changed.
Once the radio sensor is recognized by the radio actuator, the
radio actuator is active (LED flashes orange).
The number of times the LED flashes corresponds to the
radio actuator’s current function. This function can then be
changed by the number of times that the
LRN/SET
button is
activated (e.g. pressing
LRN/SET twice
= Function 2).
The parameter setting is accessed in function programming
by activating the
CLR/MODE
button. Subsequently the
radio actuator is active (LED flashes green).
Parameter setting can be manually terminated by activating
the
CLR/MODE
button.
The number of times the LED flashes corresponds to the
parameter currently set for the radio actuator’s current
function. This parameter can then be changed by the number
of times that the
LRN/SET
button is activated
(e.g. pressing
LRN/SET twice
= Parameter 2).
