Bimetal control contact points may need cleaning after
severe or extended use.

a)

Disconnect hot plate from power supply.

b)

Turn hot plate upside down and remove bottom
plate.

c)

The contact points are accessible now and may
be cleaned with fine sandpaper or a contact file.

d)

If contact points are severely pitted or burned,
replacement is suggested at this time. (Refer to
replacement of control unit.)

e)

Replace bottom cover.

f)

Turn hot plate upright and reconnect to power
supply.
