CAUTION
Do not use the TruNarc analyzer if you have not successfully completed the
training course for the product. The TruNarc analyzer uses a Class IIIB laser.
Failure to follow recommended safety procedures can cause damage to the
eyes, hazard of fire, and/or hazard of detonation or explosion.
CAUTION
Do not scan gunpowder, match tips, or any material that you suspect may be
thermally sensitive.
CAUTION
Use extra caution in the following situations, which pose special ignition
hazards for scans of potentially thermally sensitive materials:
•
The material is lying on a dark-colored surface, such as a dark tabletop.
Such a surface can absorb heat and laser energy, which can heat the
material to its ignition point.
•
The material is lying on filter paper. Papers made of dense cellulose fibers,
such as coffee filter papers or paper towels, can trap laser heat and catch
fire.
