3.1 System Description (Standard Configuration)
The Vanquish system is designed for use in high performance liquid
chromatography (HPLC) and ultra-high performance liquid
chromatography (UHPLC) applications. The table shows the standard
configurations of three Vanquish systems as an example:

In the standard configuration, the Vanquish system includes one column
compartment, installed to the right side of the system. For other configurations, see
System Stack Setup ( } page 46) .
For a description of the solvent rack and system base, see further down
in this chapter. For a description of the other modules, refer to the
Operating Manuals for these modules.
TIP
If your system configuration is a non-standard system configuration
including modules other than those listed in the table, for example, a
fluorescence detector or a charged aerosol detector, refer to the
Operating Manual for the module.
