Setting Up the Inlet for Direct Infusion
To tune and calibrate the LTQ Series MS detector, use the syringe pump to infuse a sample
solution into the ion source that is set up for the ESI mode.
To introduce sample solution with the syringe pump, you must connect an infusion line
between the syringe pump and the grounding union that is held by the grounding bar of the
Ion Max-S API source. See
