8.3.11 Heating Plate Position Test and adjustment
•
Use “Flexheat.key” in this adjustment
- Load “Flexheat.key”
- Remove turntable assembly and spill shield
- Select “Heater align up” . Check that tips of tip comb are in the middle of wells in
interchangeable heating block. (Use only heating block for KingFisher 96 plates.)
- If needed to adjust, take of the changeable heating block with snap-on connection, loosen
fixing screws of heating block assembly. Adjust manually until tip comb tips are in the
middle of interchangeable heating block. See Figure 8-5 on page 8-13.
- Tighten screws (4 pcs). See Figure 8-5 on page 8-13
- Connect changeable heating block with snap-on connection.
- Select “Heater align up” . Check that tips of tip comb are in the middle of wells in
interchangeable heating block. (Use only heating block for KingFisher 96 plates.)

- Select “heater height down”
- Select “heater height up”
- KF96 interchangeable heating block must not move but tips should be as close as possible
to wells bottom in heating block
- If block is moving select “heater off up”
- if plenty of clearance (more than 0,5 mm): select “heater off down”
- Always after adjustment select “heater height down” and after that “heater height up” to
see adjustment accuracy
- Select “heater levelness”
- Check KF96 straightness of interchangeable blocks compared to tip comb
- Select “heater height down”
- Install turntable back and tighten fixing screws of turntable (2 pcs)
Note!
Fixing screws may be opened and
tightened with allen key through
heating plate.
