For operation of the iCAP Qnova Series instruments, cooling of some
components, like the interface and the RF generator, is required.
The water used for the coolant set up should be free of suspended matter
to avoid clogging of the cooling circuit. An in-line filter is supplied with
the instrument to guarantee consistent water quality. See
the cooling water specifications.
The water temperature should be in the range specified in
Lower temperatures could lead to a condensation of atmospheric water
vapor.
A water hose (black) with an OD of 12 mm (ID 8 mm) and a length of
10 m is delivered with the instrument. The cooling water connections to
the instrument are shown in
Table 5-1.
