Laboratory Conditions
This section gives an overview of important requirements for the
laboratory where the iCAP Q mass spectrometer is placed. For details,

Power Supply
The basic power requirements for iCAP Q instruments are listed in
.
The iCAP Q instrument must have a separate “clean” line leading to a
main fuse to guarantee disturbance-free operation.
Gas Supply
The iCAP Q system requires argon gas to generate the inductively
coupled plasma and for controlling internal functions with the aid of
pneumatics. Additional gases might be required depending on the type
of analysis planned. For details, see
Table 5-1.
