Operation
Preparing the Device
The device must not be released for operation before all major start-up activities (see “Start-up” on
page 4-1 ) have been completed.
Device Check:
Prior to starting operation, the following device components must be checked for their correct function
• Gas hoses must be seated tight on the connecting filter and must be secured using a hose clamp.
• The access port must be capped.
• The pressure compensation opening must be permeable, its insert must be installed in the workspace.
• The glass door seal must not be damaged.
• The glass door/gas-tight screen measurement port must be capped.
• The shelf system components must be installed safely.
• The airbox with the HEPA filter and the air duct must be installed according to the instructions.
• Check the HEPA filter on the rear wall filter enclosure for correct fit. The red warning light on the
rear wall filter enclosure indicates a fault in the fan of the rear wall filter enclosure.
Sterilizing the Device Workspace:
• Run the Steri-Run sterilization routine (see “Steri-Run Sterilization Routine” on page 8-7 ) or
disinfect the workspace according to the hygiene regulations set forth by the operator.

CAUTION Limited operating temperature for the Cell Locker Chambers!

Before a sterilization run the Cell Locker Chambers must be removed. The max. operating
temperature for the Cell Locker Chambers is 121°C/250 °F. The Cell Locker Chambers will melt if
they remain in the device during the Steri-Run sterilization cycle.
