The support rails (3/ Figure 3-16 ) of the shelf system are perforated every 42 mm (1.66 inch) so that
the support hooks (2/ Figure 3-16 ) can be inserted variably for any culture container size required. The
shelves (1/ Figure 3-16 ) have an integrated tilt protection and withdrawal stop. Heracell Vios 250i CR
models come equipped with a single-piece bottom insert, as shown on the left side in Figure 3-16 ,
Heracell Vios 160i CR with a cutout for refilling (4/ Figure 3-16 ). For details on using the shelf system,
see “Start-up” on page 4-1 .

Note Operating conditions:

When accessories are to be operated in the workspace of the CO
2
incubator, the environmental
condition requirements must be observed (see table). The energy introduced into the workspace
affects the beginning of the temperature control range. When additional heating sources are
introduced into the workspace, condensation (e.g. at the glass door) may occur.
