4.3 Serial Network (FPC-N34): W iring Field Port for BACNET RS-485 Network

Connect the BACnet RS-485 network wires to the 3-pin RS-485 connector on ProtoNode FPC-
N34 as shown below in

Use standard grounding principles for RS-485 GND

If the ProtoNode is the last device on the trunk, then the End-Of-Line Termination Switch needs
to be enabled (
).

The default setting from the factory is OFF (switch position = right side)
o
To enable the EOL Termination, turn the EOL switch ON (switch position = left side)
4.4 LonW orks (FPC-N35): W iring LonW orks Devices to the LonW orks Terminal

Wire the LonWorks device network to the ProtoNode LonWorks Terminal.
o
Use approved cable per the FT-10 installation guidelines
•
LonWorks has no polarity.
