DUCTING FOR VCK300

1.

Use the Transition #1255-17 when 7" round Duct is used.

2.

Finish with Roof Jack #1255-6 or Wall Cap #1255-1.  Make sure all
dampers are free to open.

3.

Be sure the 3-1/4" x 10" knockout on the housing body is REMOVED
before attaching the damper collar.

* Damper Collar and two Ventilator motor support bolts and nuts are
shipped with the VCK300.

DUCTING FOR VR1000 & VR600

To adapt this VCK-1 unit for installation with the VR1000 a Transition #1308-
10 and a 10" round duct must be used.  For installation with the VR600 a
Transition #1308-8 and an 8" round duct must be used.  Before installing
VCK-1 in hood or cabinet attach transition to top of VCK1 through holes with
screws provided.

IMPORTANT

: Be sure the 8" x 13" knockout on the top of the housing body is

removed before attaching the Transition.

DUCTING FOR VCK300

(For ventilator motor mounted inside of

ventilator housing)

VCK1 with VCK300 (Integral Blower), VR600 or VR1000 (Remote Blower)
these installations must meet all local code requirements.

1.

Unless otherwise required by compliance with local codes, recom-
mended installation height from countertop to VCK1 mounting surface
over counter level range, cooktop, 30" to 34", over indoor barbecue 34" to
48".

2.

Cut a 9-3/4" x 19" opening in the bottom of the cabinet or hood to allow
for the ventilator body (see figures 2 and 3 for minimum clearance).

Safety Warning

: Turn off proper circuit at the service entrance and lockout panel

before wiring this unit.

VCK300 ONLY

 - Attach power supply leads (120 volts, 60 Hz.) in

accordance with the local codes through the end or top conduit knockout
holes.  Make electrical connections to wires inside of “J” box — Black to
black and white to white.  Be sure junction box cover inside the unit is
replaced properly.  Connect green ground of unit to ground supply wire.

4.

VR600 and VR1000 ONLY 

- If VR600 or VR1000

is installed with VCK1 the plug or cap is to remain
over receptacle.

5.

Secure VCK1 into position using four 3/4" long
screws (provided), see figure 1 for mounting
holes.
