Oven Fault Code Problems Due To Poor
Contact Problems at Harness Plug
A B
A B
Using a flashlight shine the light
through the back of the plug
The light passes through the plug giving a visual
indication of a compressed contact.
Example B
The contact is compressed
which will result in poor
contact with the terminal
post on the control / relay
boards.
This may allow contact
with the terminal post to
be intermittent as the oven
heats up resulting in an
errant fault code.
Example A
Contact is in normal
position extending
fully inside harness
plug allowing for tight
contact against the
terminal post on
control / relay boards
Repair by releasing the terminal from the plug.
Re-extend to the open position then re-insert into plug
