WeatherHub Sensor
This sensor is a component of the „WeatherHub“ system for measuring rainfall, it can be used with this system only. To use the sensor
you need an installed WeatherHub gateway.

Keep this instrument and the batteries out of reach of children.

Batteries must not be thrown into the fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!

Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by a leaking
battery. Never use a combination of old and new batteries together or batteries of different types.

Remove the batteries if you do not use the product for a lengthy period.
y
Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and glasses when handling leaked batteries.
Important information on product safety!

Do not place your device near extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks. Caution: Do not drop the device and avoid collisions.
y
Clean the instrument with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents. For a good
function keep the rain gauge always clean. Do not submerge the unit in water.
y
Make sure that the funnel and the inside see-saw are free from dirt, debris, leaves or spider webs
Sensor set up
Open the battery compartment (screwed) on the bottom of the rain sensor and insert 2 x 1,5V AA batteries with the correct polarity. Then
remove the cover of the sensor by rotating the housing clockwise. Resolve the see-saw inside the sensor.
Add sensor in the WeatherHub app
Open the app, the dashboard is displayed. Tap „Add“ new sensor and scan the sensor‘s QR code. A copy of the sensor code is attached.
Then set a name for the sensor. Now you can read the measured values on your mobile phone.
Positioning
Place the rain-gauge on open ground and mount it horizontally, ideally 1m above the ground. Make sure that rainfall can reach the rain
gauge from all sides easily. The rain sensor is self-emptying.

Note:
The rain gauge is prone to blockades due to its shape. Check and clean the rain gauge periodically for optimum performance of the
rainfall measurement.
