• Open the battery compartment of the base station and insert two new AA 1.5V batteries, polarity as illustrated.
• The device will alert you with a beep and all segments will be displayed for a short moment.
• Close the battery compartment again.
• Insert the power adapter pin into the device jack and connect the plug to a wall socket.

Important!
Make sure that your household voltage is no more than 240V! Otherwise your device may be damaged.
• The device is ready for use.
• Open the battery compartment of the transmitter and insert two new AAA 1,5 V batteries. Make sure the polarity is correct. The red LED flashes.
Close the battery compartment again.
4.1 Outdoor values reception
• The base station will scan the outdoor values of the transmitter. The reception symbol flashes. If the reception is successful, the outdoor tempe-
rature appears on the base
• If the reception of the outdoor values fails, “- -” appears on the base station display. Check the batteries and try it again. Check if there is any
source of interference.
• You can also start the outdoor transmitter search manually later on (for example when the outdoor transmitter is lost or the batteries are changed).
• Press and hold the
DOWN
button for 2 seconds. The reception symbol flashes.
4.2 Radio-controlled time reception
• After the base station has completed the search for the transmitter, the device starts scanning the DCF signal (radio signal) and the DCF reception
symbol flashes.

4. Getting started
• For a permanent backlight, to use the charging function and to conserve battery power, use the supplied power adapter.
• Place the base station and the transmitter on a table at a distance of about 1.5 meters from each other. Avoid being close to possible sources of
interference such as electronic devices and radio equipment.
