• Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for at least 3 seconds
to leave the maximum and minimum mode.
6.4 Changing of the temperature unit
• The default setting is °C.
• To change the temperature unit, turn off the device by press-
ing and holding the ON / OFF button first.
• Press and hold the MAX/MIN button.
• Press and hold the ON/OFF button at the same time.
• The device switches on and the temperature unit appears in
°F.
• To change the temperature unit again, turn off the device
first.
6.5 Backlight
• Press the ON/OFF button to activate or deactivate the back-
light.
• If the ON/OFF button is not pressed, the backlight switches
off automatically after approximately 30 seconds.
7. Care and maintenance
• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents
or scouring agents.
• Remove the battery if you do not use the device for a long
period of time.
• Keep the device in a dry place.
7.1 Battery replacement
• Change the battery when the battery symbol
appears
on the display.
• Confirm the device is powered off before changing battery.
• Open the battery compartment and insert a new battery 9 V.

6. Operation
6.1 Getting started
• Open the battery compartment and insert the new battery
9 V. Ensure that the battery polarity is correct.
• Please pay attention to the connection wires.
• Close the battery compartment again.
• All LCD segments will be displayed for about a few seconds.
• On the display appear the battery symbol, the actual tem-
perature (default: °C) and humidity.
• The unit is ready for use.
• The instrument will turn off automatically after 15 minutes,
if no button is pressed.
• Press and hold the ON/OFF button for at least 3 seconds to
turn off the instrument immediately.
6.2 Measuring of the temperature and humidity and
HOLD function
• Press and hold the ON/OFF button.
• All LCD segments will be displayed for about a few seconds.
• On the display appear the battery symbol, the actual tem-
perature (default: °C) and humidity.
• Press the MAX/MIN button to activate the HOLD function.
• HOLD appears on the display.
• The actual temperature and humidity stay on the display.
• Press again the button, to deactivate the HOLD function.
6.3 Reading of the maximum and minimum values
• Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for at least 3 seconds
to enter the maximum and minimum mode.
• MAX appears on the display.
• The maximum temperature and the humidity since the last
activation of the device are displayed.
• Press the button again.
• MIN appears on the display.
• The lowest temperature and humidity since the last activa-
tion of the device are displayed.
