of this service letter, on eligible airplanes, provided the work is completed and the claim

ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Apply electrical and hydraulic power to the airplane.
2.
Set the BATT 1 and BATT 2 switches and the engine indicating and crew alerting system (EICAS) to on.
3.
Move both throttles to the idle ident position.
4.
Look at the TLA on the integrated maintenance test (IMT) page that is shown on the EICAS display.
A.
Use MFD 2 to enter the IMT page.
B.
Press <, LRU TEST, and MAINT buttons to show the menu page.
C.
Use the MFD bezel knobs to move the cursor over DAU 1 or DAU 2 on MFD 2.
D.
Press the select button and DAU 1 or DAU 2 is shown.

The DAU 1 contains TLA for the left throttle.
(2)
The DAU 2 contains TLA for the right throttle.
5.
Move the left thrust reverser piggyback lever to the DEPLOY position and advance to max reverse thrust.
A.
Note the TLA when the piggyback levers are in the MAX THRUST position.
6.
(Refer to Figure 1, Detail A and Detail B.) Adjust the piggyback max reverse thrust set-screw until TLA is
45.8, +0.2 or -0.2 degrees.
7.
Do Steps 4 through 7 for the opposite side.
8.
Do an operational check of the thrust reversers. (Refer to the Maintenance Manual, Chapter 78, Thrust
Reverser - Adjustment/Test.)
9.
Record that this service letter has been completed.
A.
Complete a Maintenance Transaction Report.
B.
Put a copy of the completed Maintenance Transaction Report in the airplane logbook.
C.
Send a copy of the completed Maintenance Transaction Report to: CESCOM, P.O. Box 7706,
