DCM-750 CONFIGURATION MODULE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

General
A.
This section gives the removal and installation procedures for the DCM-750 Configuration Module
(PI065). For a general description of the configuration module, refer to L3Harris Electronic Flight
Display System - Description and Operation.

3.
DCM-750 Configuration Module Removal/Installation
A.
Remove the DCM-750 Configuration Module (Refer to Figure 401).
(1)
Remove external electrical power from the airplane.
(2)
Make sure that the BATTERY switch and the STBY FLT DISPLAY switch on the ELECTRICAL
POWER switch panel in the cockpit are at the OFF position.
(3)
Disengage the STBY FLT DISPLAY circuit breaker on the left circuit breaker panel in the cockpit.
(4)
Remove the pilot's primary flight display (PFD) to get access to the electrical connector (PI062).
Refer to Garmin GDU 1400W/1450W Flight Display - Removal/Installation.
(5)
Disconnect the electrical connector from the electronic flight display (EFD) (UI013).
(6)
Remove and discard the tie strap that attaches the copper braided shield to the wiring harness.
(7)
Move the copper braid shield off the configuration module (PI065).
(8)
Disconnect the configuration module from the rear of the electrical connector. Refer to the Model
525B (-0057 and -0135 and On) Electrical Wiring Diagram Manual.

Remove the configuration module from the airplane.

Install the DCM-750 Configuration Module (Refer to Figure 401).
(1)
Put the configuration module (PI065) in its correct position at the electrical connector (PI062).
(2)
Connect the DCM to the rear of the electrical connector. Refer to the Model 525B (-0057 and
-0135 and On) Electrical Wiring Diagram Manual.
(3)
Move the copper braided shield over the configuration module.
(4)
Install a tie strap to attach the copper braided shield to the wiring harness.
(5)
Connect the electrical connector to the electronic flight display (EFD) (UI013).
(6)
Engage the STBY FLT DISPLAY circuit breaker on the left circuit breaker panel in the cockpit.
(7)
Do the EFD-750 Software and Configuration Loading Procedures. Refer to Chapter 34, L3Harris
Electronic Flight Display System - Adjustment/Test.
(8)
Install the pilot's primary flight display (PFD). Refer to Garmin GDU 1400W/1450W Flight Display
- Removal/Installation.
