Assembler Directives
Syntax
.c_mode
Description
The .c_mode directive is generated as a header for any assembly file created
by the C compiler.
This directive works primarily in conjunction with the –mf assembler option or
the .far_mode directive to facilitate linking a program that uses extended ad-
dressing.
If your program uses extended addressing, but your assembly code was not
generated by the C compiler, you should add the .c_mode directive to your as-
sembly files.
Note:
Do not mix extended addressing code with regular code.
If you want to use extended addressing, your entire application must use ex-
tended addressing.
