TAS6584-Q1 EVM User's Guide

ABSTRACT

This manual describes the operation of the TAS6584Q1EVM. The TAS6584Q1EVM is a stand-alone EVM. The 
PurePath™ Control Console 3 GUI (PPC3) is used to initialize and operate the EVM. The main topics of this 
document are:

• Hardware implementation and descriptions
• Software implementation and descriptions
• TAS6584Q1EVM operations, both hardware and software

Required equipment and accessories:

1. TAS6584Q1EVM
2. DVDD power supply of 3.3 Vdc
3. VBAT power supply of 12 Vdc (see data sheet for allowed voltage range)
4. PVDD (see data sheet for allowed voltage range)
5. USB A male to micro B male cable
6. 1 to 4 resistive loads or speaker loads
7. 2 to 6 pairs of wires, stripped at both ends
8. 2 mm slotted screwdriver
9. Optical audio source and cable (optional)
10. Coaxial digital audio source and cable (optional)
11. Directly connected I2S or TDM source (optional)
12. Desktop or laptop PC with Microsoft® Windows® 7 or above operating system
