3.5 Programming Screen

Press the 

Programming

 button to select the Programming Update window. This window allows the user to

program the device to a new version of firmware.

3.5.1 Programming the Flash Memory

The upper section of the Programming screen is used to initialize the device by loading the default .srec into the
flash memory (see 

Figure 3-5

).

• Search for the .srec file using the 

Browse

 button.

• Press the 

Program

 button and wait for the download to complete.

• Press the 

Execute FW

 button after the download has completed.

• Select File | Restart to initialize bqStudio to the new firmware.
