3.4 Interfacing the MSP430 on the EVM to an AFE4500 on a Different Board
To interface the MSP430 on EVM using the I2C interface with AFE4500 on a different board, do the following
changes:
• Remove all shunts on J1 connector.
• Connect the signals from the AFE4500 on a different board to the EVM as shown in
Table 3-1. Signal from AFE4500 on another Board

• Share the GND signal between the module and EVM. Ensure that the supplies on the external AFE4500 and
the EVM are matched, or tap them from the EVM

3.5 To Interface an MCU on a Different Board with the AFE of EVM
To interface an MCU on a different board with the AFE of EVM in I2C interface:
• Connect the signals from external MCU to the EVM as shown in Table 4. Before connecting the signals, make
sure the shunts placed on J1 to connect the signals between AFE4500 and MCU is removed.
