Sharpening the wedge

After long periods of operation and when it is required, you must sharpen the wedge by
using a fine-toothed file and carefully remove any burrs or flat spots on the wedge.
Recycling:
Make sure to dispose the dirty oil properly. Bring it to your local waste oil recycling centre.
Never dump it on the ground or mix it with trash.
Waste electrical products must not be disposed of with the household waste.
This tool should be taken to your local recycling centre for safe treatment
How to free jammed logs
1. Release both handles, so that the log pusher (B) will fully withdraw.
1. Insert a triangular wedge of wood under the log and activate the log pusher in order
to push the wedge under the log which is stuck.
2. Repeat this process by using progressively larger wedges, until the jammed log is
freed.
Warning :
You must never hammer on the jammed log, or place your hands near the log when you
attempt to free it.

Never ask another person for assistance when you are freeing a jammed log.

Do not try to free the log by hitting it with a tool and keeping the foot blocked, this
could cause breakage of the engine cover or the oil pump cover etc.

All the safety rules described in the chapter above apply when carrying out the op-
erations as described above.
