You can fi nd special assembly materials (cords, speaker
stands, wall brackets and resonance dampers) adapted to
these speakers in our webshop (www.teufelaudio.com) in
the “Accessories” area.
A threaded hole on the bottom of the speaker is used for
mounting the S 700 FCR speakers to a speaker stand.
Upon shipment, the threaded hole has a screw inserted,
which you will have to unscrew before assembly.

Mounting the spikes

The spikes ensure that the subwoofer has a stable posi-
tion, they also minimise vibrations and provide enough
space to the fl oor for the subwoofer speaker.

1. Carefully turn the subwoofer over and place it on a

soft, padded base.

2. Screw the threaded bolts

 into the spikes

.

3. Screw the spikes into the 4 threaded holes on the bot-

tom of the subwoofer.

4. In the event of soft or sensitive fl oors, place a washer

 under each spike.

5. The tips of the spikes may protrude somewhat in order

to compensate for irregularities in the fl oor.

6. Make sure that the subwoofer has a stable position to

prevent vibrations.

Protective grid

If you position the front speakers behind a screen, remove
the protective grid in order to compensate for the poten-
tial absorption of high frequencies by the screen.

You will need two micro-type or AAA batteries with 1.5
Volt (included in the product contents) in order to operate
the remote control.

 Inserting batteries

1. Push the small lever on the cover of the battery com-

partment on the back of the remote control and remove
the lid by lifting it off upwards.

2. If applicable, remove any old batteries (please observe

the notes on page 14).

3. Insert the batteries in the battery compartment as

shown in the fi gure.

4. Place the cover back on the compartment and push it

closed.

Remote control

Assembly

Functionality

The remote control relays the control signals by means
of infrared light. For this, you must point the front of the
remote control towards the receiver. Make sure that the
infrared light is not obstructed by objects.
