Functions
On / off switch
Press an arbitrary button to switch on the instrument.
After approx. 30 seconds, the instrument automatically switches off in order to save the batteries.
Temperature measurement
For measuring temperatures, align the aperture of the IR sensor to the object to be measured and
press the button (3) for temperature measurement.
Make sure that the size of the area to measure is not greater than the measurement object. The
actual temperature value determined is displayed on the LCD display. To localize the hottest
locations of an object, the Testboy
®
TV 326 is pointed at a point outside of the area required and,
with the button held for temperature measurement, the hottest location is "searched for" with
"zigzag" motions.
After the button for temperature measurement is released, the temperature value determined is
displayed for another 30 seconds ("HOLD").
°C/°F switching
Using the button (8), the temperature display can be switched between °C and °F.
MODE
With the instrument switched on, press the button Mode to switch between the functions of the
following graphic.
MAX Indication of the highest temperature value during the measurement on the
secondary display.
MIN Indication of the lowest temperature value during the measurement on the
secondary display.
dIF Indication of the difference between the highest and lowest temperature value on the
secondary display.
AVG Indication of the average temperature of the measurement on the secondary display.
HAL Alarm setting upper temperature limit
LAL Alarm setting lower temperature limit
PRB Temperature value of an external K-sensor
E Emission value

