PLATFORM LEVELING (WITH GENERATOR)
The platform level control is an electro-hydraulic system controlled by a level sensor, control system and a
hydraulic servo valve to keep the platform level. As the upper boom or lower boom articulate the level will
turn on to allow operation and keep the platform level. The sensor and control system operate from a 12 volt
battery located under the servo valve. The battery is maintained by a generator located under the platform
rotator. If the battery is low on charge, an indicator light on the operators dash will turn on.
NOTE: The light will only turn on when the single stick enable is depressed and a boom function
is moved slightly.
If the platform is more than 15 degrees out of level the level control system will turn off and not level until it is
manually leveled to less then 15 degrees from level position.
The hydraulic pressure for the level system comes from the lower control hydraulic system. If the "Top
Control Shut-off" control is in the "OFF" position there is no oil flow to the level system. The platform will not
level with out hydraulic pressure. If the top control shut-off must be "OFF", then the lower level control may
be used to level the platform as the booms are moved. Move the boom slightly, stop the boom movement
and level the platform them move the boom again. Repeat as needed to get the platform to ground level.
Repair the system as needed before operating from the platform.
To manually operate the platform level from the upper controls the single stick enable must be energized
then the level control lever moved the appropriate direction.
