Chapter 1  Brief Introduction 

Thanks for choosing TWL54/108C CardBus wireless adapter. It is a 

standard CardBus adapter that fits into standard 32-bit CardBus slot. It is an 

enhanced high-performance supporting high-speed wireless networking at 

home, or at office. TWL54/108C CardBus wireless adapter is able to 

communicate with any 802.11b and 802.11g compliant products.   

 
1.1 Features 

 

CardBus Interface, Compliant with 32-bit CardBus; 

 

Fully compliant with IEEE802.11g, IEEE802.11b intenface 2.4GHz;   

 

64/128/152 bit WEP encryption capable; Supports WPA/WAP2, IEEE 

802.1X, TKIP, AES;   

 

Supports 6 EAP encryptions;   

 

Supports 802.11b/g ,transmission power manageable, QoS supported 

 

Supports 108/54/48/36/24/18/12/9/6/11/5.5/2/1Mbps data rate 

(108Mbps for TWL108c only);   

 

Smart omni-directional internal antenna auto adjustable for best 

performance; 

 

2 Working modes: Infrastructure (AP needed) and Ad-Hoc (AP not 

needed);  

 

Provides Window-based Diagnostic Tools, most notably, Site Survey, 

Link Quality Test;   

 

Wireless roaming supported, Greater flexibility to locate or move 

networked PCs;   

 

Working range up to 200m indoor, 850m in an open environment;   

 

DSSS adopted, Seamless connectivity to wired Ethernet and PC
