Listening to a CD
Open the front panel by pressing
the RELEASE (open, ) button.
Insert a compact disc.
Close the front panel.
Play will start automatically.
If a DISC is already inserted,
press the CD/CDC( ) button.
12. PLAY / PAUSE (CD / CDC, )
Using the CDP only without CDC.
To stop the radio and start disc play, press this button for less
than 1.5 seconds, and to release from pause mode, press this
button again.
Using the CDC Operation.(Option)
To stop the radio or CDP and start CD-changer disc play,press
CD/CDC button for more than 1.5 seconds.
To pause the CD-Changer, press this button again for less than
1.5 seconds.
To the Radio mode, press BAND button.
Using the MP3 CD Operation.
During MP3 Disc play, pressing these buttons allows you to
select a folder (directory) containing MP3 files and start playing
from the first file in the selected folder.
- Press <D -> button to move the previous folder.
- Press <D +> button to move the next folder.
- Press <D +> button while in the final folder to shift to the first
(Root) folder.
- Folder without a MP3 file is not selectable.
What is MP3 ?
MP3 is an audio compression method and classified audio layer 3
of MPEG standard.
This audio compression method has penetrated into PC users
and become a standard format. This MP3 features the original
audio data compression to about 10 percent of its initial size with
high (CD-like) sound quality.
By means of this MP3 technology, more than 100 songs can be
recorded on a 650MB CD-R disc or CD-RW.
Creating MP3 disc CDR(RW) Writing
Most of Writing Softwares are available.
(
NeRo Burning ROM, Adapter Easy CD Creator, NTI CD Maker etc.)
When creating MP3 disc using Windows XP CD writing tool,
install Service Pack 1 first.
Usable Bit Rate : 8 Kbps ~ 320 Kbps / VBR
File Extension
Always add a file extension .MP3 . If you add other file
extension or forget to add the file extension, the file cannot be
played.
Logical Format (File System)
*When writing MP3 file on a CD-R disc or CD-RW disc, please
select ISO9660 level 1,2 or Microsoft JOLIET as the writing
software format. Normal play or display may not be possible if
the disc is recorded on another format.
*Recognizable Length of Folder Name and File Name
- Folder Name : Max.16 characters
- File Name : Max.32 characters
Number of Files or Folders
*Up to 32 folders (including Root folder and vacant folder) can
be recognized per disc.
*The maximum number of playable files per disc is 199.
*It is recommended to record 20~30 files in a folder.
Multi-session
disc is readable.
Tracks are played in the order of that they were recorded onto a
disc. Tracks might not always be played in the order displayed
on the PC.
