Adjust Alert Tones (Ringer)

Alert tones can be customized for different types of calls, such 
as voice or text.
1.  Press the 

MENU

key.

2.  Select 

Settings

, then select 

Audio Settings

3.  Use the arrow keys to scroll through the alert types.
4.  Select the desired alert sound.

NOTE

: If 

No Alert 

is selected, no alert will sound.

section of this manual for

details about how to enter a number.

Speakerphone Microphone Adjustment

You can adjust the microphone gain of the speakerphone from -5 to +5 using 

Spkr Phone Adj

in

the 

Audio Settings

menu.

1. Press the

then 

Audio Settings

.

3. Select

Spkr Phone Adj

then the desired microphone gain using the arrow keys.

Phonebook

The SX5 has an Internal Phonebook capable of storing up to 250 telephone numbers with corre-
sponding names in the SIM card (SIM cards may have different memory capacities) and 18 in
the phone memory. 

HINT: 

To dial a number from the Phonebook when off hook, press the 

NAME

key, select the

name, then press the 

DIAL

key.

NOTE: 

The Phonebook will not be accessible while the SIM Card is read when the SX5 is pow-

ered on. This process takes approximately 60 seconds.

Adjust Phonebook Settings

Entries can be saved to the SIM card or to the phone memory. When numbers are saved to the
SIM card, they can be transferred by removing the SIM card and installing it in another 
GSM phone.
1.  Press the

4.  Select the desired location of the phonebook entries.
