Logging Out
To log out of the 8860 Multi-service Switch Router at the console, type the logout command
at the CLI prompt:
8820#
logout
Change the Default Password
When the 8820 MSR switch is first powered up it provides two default logins at the CLI for
two user types—root and admin
(Table 4-2)
.
The 8860 Multi-service Switch Router system requires that you change the default
passwords, as indicated by the login screen
(Figure 4-13)
. The initial login banner text
reminds you that the 8860 Multi-service Switch Router switch does not have SNMP access
until these passwords have been customized.
