Fan Module Assembly
The fan module assembly
(Figure 3-3)
, located at the rear of the 8820 MSR chassis, houses
the four fans that provide airflow and heat dissipation for the system. This is a field
replaceable unit (FRU).
Internal temperatures that exceed thresholds are reported to the Tellabs 8890 Management
System and indicated as a temperature fail red LED on the system panel, which may mean
that the fan module may need to be serviced.

Power Panels
AC or DC power is connected to the 8820 MSR through connectors located at the rear of
the chassis, as described in the following sections:
