e.- Audio mode
The following menu that appears is the
audio
mode
menu. This allows you to select the ope-
rational mode of the L and R audio channels.
L and R are available in the
A/V output. The (L+R)/2
channel is modulated in RF.
R in both the A/V output
channels. The R channel is
modulated in RF.
L in both the A/V output
channels. The L channel is
modulated in RF.
f.- Video carrier
The following menus facilitate the selection
of the different modulation parameters. The
first of these is for the selection of the
video
carrier
level (modulation depth) between 8
possible values (from 1 to 8), via the
and
buttons. For example:
The relationship between the parameter
selected and the programmed modulation
depth is the following (approximately):
c.- Video output mode
The following menu that appears is the
Video
output mode
. This allows you to select the
video output mode when receiving 16:9 trans-
missions.
There are three posible modes which adapt
the image to a 4:3 screen.
- Pan&Scan: The image is center-cut.
- Full Screen: The image is adapted with no
losses but look stretched.
- Letterbox: The full image is displayed with
two black bars on top and bottom.
d.- Audio subcarrier
By pressing the
button again, the
audio
subcarrier
frequency in Mhz selection menu
is displayed. The possible values, that are
selected using the
and
buttons, are
4.5, 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5 Mhz. For example, for
5.5 Mhz:
b.- LNB powering
The next option that appears inside the
Extended Menu is the
LNB powering
mode
and the selection of the
22 kHz tone
. There
are 5 possible options, that can be selected
via
the and buttons.
These
select
the
powering voltage of the LNB via the input
signal of the QPSK-PAL module. The 22 kHz
tone is also chosen in this way:
LNB not powered. No tone
LNB powered at 13V. Tone activated
LNB powered at 13V. Tone de-activated
LNB powered at 17V. Tone activated
LNB powered at 17V. Tone de-activated
Note:
If you are using a Quatro type LNB, this
should be powered in each of the possible
outputs that are being used, programming
and activating 13V and switching the 22KHz
tone off in the corresponding modules.
