5. If necessary, press
PROG-
to recall the previous code.
6. As soon as the STB responds to the command, by going in stand-by or changing channel, press the
OK
button to save the code. The
LED
will turn OFF.
7. Check whether the other buttons of the remote control function properly. If the majority of the buttons
does not function correctly, repeat the procedure starting from the first step.
4.2.3 Display the STB brand code
To identify the STB brand code in use by the remote control, follow these steps:
6. Press and hold the
STB
button for 3 seconds until the
LED
lights up.
7. Press and hold the
STB
button for 3 second, then release it.
8. To get the first digit of the code, press singularly the numeric button from 0 to 9 until the
LED
flashes
once. The number that lights up the
LED
corresponds with the searched digit.
9. Repeat the above step 3 times in order to find the remaining three digits of the code.
10. After having the last digit of the code, the
LED
will turns OFF.
NOTE
When the
STB
button is not programmed or after a reset 4.2.5 , the code is 0000.
4.2.4 Setup by learning function
The learning function is used to extend the default programs of the standard STB code list (see the
attachment
TV/STB List
), thanks to the Learning function. A fully functional original remote control of the
STB is required. Please also use new batteries for both the original STB remote control and the Learning
remote control.
8. Press and hold the
STB
button of the Learning remote control. Release it when the
LED
turns on.
9. Press and hold the
SOURCE
button until the
LED
starts flashing: now the remote control is in learning
mode.
10. Align the IR sensors of both remote control units and keep them so at a closed distance (around 3 cm)
for all the procedure.
11. Press and release the target button on the Learning remote control which you want to program: the
LED
will light up.
12. Press the button of the original remote control that match with the button mentioned on previous step. If
the command is accepted, the
LED
of the Learning remote control will restarts flashing.
CAUTION
The capturing is not immediate, it may take some seconds
.
13. Repeat the steps 4 and 5 for all the other buttons to learn from the original remote control.
14. When you finish learning all needed buttons, press the
TV
button to save all commands you have learnt
from original remote control and exit the learning mode.
CAUTIONS
Every button keeps the learned function even after changing the STB program code. For restoring the original
function of the buttons, perform a reset (see par.4.2.5).
The buttons TV, STB and SOURCE are not programmable.
4.2.5 STB codes deleting (Reset)
To delete all the codes set for the STB button, proceed as follows:

button of the Learning remote control. Release it when the
LED
turns on.
5. Press and hold the
SOURCE
button until the
LED
starts flashing.
6. Press and hold again the
SOURCE
button until the
LED
turns OFF: the reset is done.
CAUTION
A reset will cancel any learned function and restore the STB code to 0000. In this condition, the RCU doesn’t emit any
signal
