Install the mid stage attenuator plug-in (Figure 4, pos. 8) according the network
plan. The network plan should specify exact signal values. Set the desired slope
of the amplifier by means of the mid stage slope plug-in (Figure 4, pos. 9).
Note:
Set the output slope of the amplifier according to the network plan calculation by
means of input equaliser (Figure 4, pos. 5). A plug-in cable simulator can be
used in position 6, Figure 4, if needed. To reach the desired output level select
an appropriate input attenuator for the plug-in position 4, Figure 4
Plug-in
attenuators of the JDA series ranging from 0 dB to 20 dB in 1 dB steps are
available. Temperature compensated attenuators of the JTA series are also
available. The signal can be measured at the -20 dB output test point (Figure 4
pos. 11).
The output stage uses a GaAs hybrid to improve RF performance over the
entire 85 to 1006 MHz passband. The output ports, through the use of passive
plug-in output modules (Figure 4, pos. 12); can be set up for a variety of output
configurations. Refer to table 1. During the adjustment the plug-in unit position
for output module must be equipped at least with the 0 dB module.
