4.2.2 SMTP-Client
Configuration
The following entries in the pabx.cfg’s [Mail] section are used
to send e-mail messages from the VoIPBox. The connection to
the SMTP server can be used to send CDR files or alarm mes-
sages.
The following features are possible:

Sending CDRs via e-mail

Sending alarm messages via e-mail
You must restart the system after making changes to acti-
vate the settings.

Mail Parameters
MailAllowedPeers=<ip addr>
Defines IP addresses from which incoming SMTP connections will be accepted. Sepa-
rate IP addresses with a space. If a dash (-) is entered, the SMTP port (25) will be
blocked for incoming sessions. If this parameter is left empty (default), incoming con-
nections will be accepted from all IP addresses.
MailAuthEncr=<type>
Enter an encryption method for e-mail authentication (default base64).
MailFrom=<URL>
Enter here the URL that will be sent in the e-mail’s FROM field in the following possible
formats:
MailFrom=domain to send OAD@domain (or user@domain, if no OAD available).
MailFrom=ipaddress to send OAD@ipaddress (or user@ipaddress, if no OAD avail-
able).
MailFrom=123@ to send 123@<IP address of gateway>.
[email protected] to send [email protected].
MailFrom=123@ipaddress to send 123@ipaddress.
MailMaxIncomingClients=<count>
Defines the maximum number of clients that can access the system simultaneously.
If 0 is entered, the SMTP port (25) will be blocked for incoming sessions. Default 100.
MailPortIn=<num>
Enter a TCP port for incoming e-mail (default 25).
MailPortOut=<num>
Enter a TCP port for outgoing e-mail (default 25).
