Appendix C: Firmware Upgrade/Restore
This appendix provides the procedures to upgrade and restore a GigE camera’s
firmware.
NOTE:
It is strongly recommended that cameras be upgraded one
at a time to avoid confusion.
C.1 Firmware Upgrade Procedure
Perform the following procedure to upgrade a GigE camera’s firmware to be
compatible with PICam 5.x:
1. On the Host Computer, navigate to the following directory:
c:\program files\princeton instruments\picam\firmware
2. Double-click on the
Firmware_Upgrade.exe
file to launch the upgrade tool.
The IP Engine Selection dialog is displayed. See Figure C-1 .
