8. To turn on the FER785-MM Diode Laser Source, press the power button 

 

located on the front of the housing ONE TIME.
The amber LASER ON LED illuminates indicating that the laser source is energized. 
See 

Figure 3-3

.

9. Laser output power can now be controlled using Teledyne Princeton Instruments 

LightField software.

NOTE:

The laser source always defaults to its nominal output 
power rating following startup.
