Recharging the Battery Pack
The battery pack should be recharged in the following
situations:
• ‘BAT’ or ‘BAT FAULT’ message is displayed.
• The instrument will not switch on.
• The pump will not switch on.
• When not in use.
It is recommended that the battery pack is fully discharged
on a regular basis (once every three months). The batteries
can be charged on the instrument but the instrument itself
should be switched off. Regular complete discharge will keep
the battery pack in good condition.
To charge the battery pack, use the GMI ‘In-Vehicle Charging
Station’ (part no. 14810).
Note: Other charging options are available. For more
details contact GMI or an authorised distributor.
Replacing the Battery Pack
The following procedure should be carried out in a safe area:
1. Using the Hex Driver supplied (GMI Part No. 12451),
loosen the two instrument base screws.
